Making Money on the Road

What is it like to work on the road, make money and enjoy life at the same time? It is unbelievable. It is also called a million dollar dream. It takes a life changing decision. Most of us will spend 40 to 50 years of our lives working to make someone else wealthy. I answered a newspaper ad and I changed my life style forever. I no longer work for someone else. I am an entrepreneur. I have started a home based business. I have learned what it is like not to set an alarm clock in the morning or not to wear panty hose in the summer. I have learned to be my own boss. I can work when and where I want to. I can also travel 7 days a week 52 weeks a year. I also learned, however, being my own boss can be difficult when you come from the corporate world were you are accustomed to someone telling you what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. There have been many days when I got nothing done. I did not know how to be my own boss or how to be a leader. I have made a life changing decision to follow the leaders. I would learn from their mistakes, so I started attending seminars, going to classes, reading books and learning from mentors and coaches. Mentors and coaches are a million dollar investment. They help you overcome your limiting beliefs and provide support. An excellent mentor and coach are worth every dime you invest for their support. They listen and provide feed back to your questions, and provide questions and answers about things you have not thought about. They talk about compensation packages, marketing, teaching you how to mentor and coach your own team. They have years of experience in the home based industry which can assist you and preclude you learning the same lessons. The bottom line on your part is COACHABILITY. Working on the road can be lonesome; having mentors and coaches can help out when the days get dark. They provide a light you can follow. They are out in front of you and can provide insights into the path where you are since they have already been there, done that. Another advantage of working on the road is to demonstrate my life style. I am free to sit in the park or at the pool during the day and feed the ducks, or take a swim and make money. You have the freedom to talk to your prospects and inform them you are sitting in the park or on the beech. You can show your prospect first hand freedom and wealth. Freedom can be offered in many different ways: sleep late, attend your kids (or grandkids) plays at school during the day, or to take your spouse on a short overnight holiday. Working on the road does have a few set backs. Sometimes internet service is not always available, so your computer and cell phone are out of service. You are having so much fun you forget to take your cell phone out of your pocket before you jump into the pool or all your papers get blown away into a local pond with alligators. I will say this about working on the road, it is worth all the problems, because of the freedom it allows me. I have the freedom to visit family and friends, tour new parts of the world, and tell all the people I meet everyday about my in home business opportunity. Life is not about making money. It is being in the position to enjoy your life. Put your million dollar dream to work.
