Hemis Gold Announces Progress at El Tigre

LAS VEGAS (Business Wire EON) November 29, 2007 -- The El Tigre Project in east-central Sonora, Mexico, is moving forward toward the next phase of drilling. Work is focusing on geologic mapping and sampling of areas of interest on and near the El Tigre project area.

The goal at El Tigre is to have a drill on site in late January to early February 2008. At this time the planned program includes drilling 10 to 12 additional core holes in the El Tigre project area. These holes will provide definition drilling in the Monument Breccia target zone as well as test new targets.

With the conclusion of the first round of drilling and the receipt of laboratory assay results, a clearer understanding of the area is emerging. "The geology and mineralization at El Tigre is very complex and exciting." said Bill Snoddy, Project Manager. "As work continues we are developing a picture of the geology that is more complex than initially thought and points to the potential existence of a mineralized system that is poly-metallic and may include economically mineable quantities of gold, silver, molybdenum, copper and lead."

Progress on the property was set back this summer by a far wetter than average rainy season. Storms in east-central Sonora washed out bridges and destroyed roads that isolated the project for a number of days. In the El Tigre project area roads were destroyed by torrential rains on three occasions. "Unfortunately we can't control the weather." said Dr. Douglas Oliver, chief geologist of Hemis. "Now that the rainy season is over we are able to move forward with our geologic program."

Exploration is also being conducted in areas surrounding El Tigre and in other parts of Sonora. "There are many areas in Sonora with a rich mining history." said Dr. Oliver. "Many of these have the potential to host very attractive gold deposits at today's prices. We intend to be aggressive in acquiring new quality properties."
